Delayed Return to Residence

As the number of COVID-19 cases continues to rise across the province, and the Middlesex-London area remains in a province-wide shutdown, Western has delayed in-person classes to February 21 out of an abundance of caution. Virtual courses continue.
Please note residences will not reopen until early to mid-February.
As students will be returning from all across the province and country, sometimes from hard-hit regions, a scheduled and staggered return will be organized that prioritizes the health and safety of the residence community.
If you have already registered your return date between January 16–24, you will need to re-schedule for a later date. We will be sending an email update early next week with information on registering for the later return.
Students will receive a refund/credit of residence fees for the time they do not have access to their residence rooms due to this delay. Additional information will be released next week.
Some of you may still have academic materials and supplies in your residence room. Please be assured we will work with you on getting you what you need for your studies and ship your belongings to you at no cost. We will be communicating in the coming days to confirm how this will happen.
If you would like to retrieve an item from your residence room yourself, we will also provide information early next week on how to do so.
It is our hope to welcome you all back to campus in the near future, however your well-being, and the community’s health and wellness is our priority.
