Going to university can be a big step - especially when you're coming from another province! We have compiled some key information on this page to assist in your transition to life at Western, and to the City of London.
Residence Accommodation during Winter Break
During the winter break the University closes, and very limited services and operations are offered. With the exception of students who are international or from out of province, students are required to vacate residence 24 hours after their last December exam and go home for the winter break until the residences and University reopens on January 3rd, 2016.
A few residences will be open during the winter break (noon December 22nd, 2015 to noon January 3rd, 2016) for international and out-of-province students requesting to stay in residence during the winter break, providing they have confirmed with Housing by June 24th, 2015 and pay by June 30th, 2015. An extra fee will be charged to students' residence accounts if they stay in residence during the winter break. International and out of province students will receive an email regarding the process to request to stay in residence during the winter break. The information emails will be sent from mid-April until early June to international and out of province students who have accepted their residence offer for the 15/16 academic year. All other students must vacate residence 24 hours after their last December exam.
Residence Accommodation during Reading Week
All residences will remain open during Reading Week (February 15th to February 19th, 2016).
At the end of the academic year, all students must vacate their room within 24 hours following the date of their final examination or by noon on May 1, 2015 whichever is earlier.
