The Champs cup tournament is a campus-wide women's flag football tournament. For the purposes of the Flag Football tournament, the term "Woman" is inclusive of trans*, gender-fluid, non-binary, two-spirit, and agender members of our community. Residence Pool Party

Western Campus Rec Centre

9:00-11:30 p.m.

 

Residence Life is taking over the Rec Centre for the ultimate pool party! Chill out in the pool for an exclusive free swim and enjoy some tunes. Don't want to get wet? No problem! Compete with friends at Just Dance and other board games, or get active by playing basketball, volleyball or dodgeball. Don’t miss this last taste of summer and chance to meet new people before you float on into the busy school year.

This is a Main Campus Residence exclusive event—roommates, suite-mates, floor-mates, building-mates...as long as they live the Residence Life, invite them out and don't forget your Western ONEcard!

Substance Awareness Week

Across all residences (schedule to be determined)

4:00-8:00 p.m.

Engage in harm reduction discussions and enter the Party Safe Pledge contest to win a prize at our Substance Awareness booth! The booth will be visiting your residence during Substance Awareness Week 2022 (September 18-22)

You can also win prizes throughout the week by accurately answering Substance Awareness trivia questions, provided by Residence Staff in the evenings.

Your substance use effects everyone, not just you!

Members of the First Nations, Métis and Inuit communities and allies are welcome to join us in the Delaware Hall Formal Lounge to connect with community members and mentors and discover opportunities for Indigenous students to get involved at Western. Plus there will be food!

Jewish Students' Welcome

6-8 p.m.

Join us for food, games, and connection at the Jewish Students' Welcome -- a community space to connect with other students who self-identify as Jewish. Hosted in collaboration with Western Hillel, get connected to other Jewish students and learn about the supports available to you.

6:00-8:00 p.m.

Join us for food, games, and connection at the Black and Racialized Students' Welcome -- a community space to connect with other students who self-identify as Black and/or a Person of Colour. Get connected to the multitude of affinity-based clubs on campus, meet upper-year students who can support and guide you along the way, and celebrate your racial/cultural identity. The games and prizes are a bonus!
